Squeeze Togo

Is Togo too big to go crawling under chairs, or is that chair too small?

Either way, Togo squeezed and squirmed his way just so he can sit under the little kid, who then promptly got up and left!

Playing Rough

The tyrants are a lazy lot. Mostly the sleep the day away. But for a few minutes each day they go crazy, running around at top speed and wrestling each other about.

The tyrants wrestling is an interesting sight.

Grrrr

Vampire bite!

Rawlr

Don't worry, the wrestling is nowhere near as violent as it looks. In fact, they're playing only a few feet away from the 20-month toddler.

Garrrhhhh

Kennel

The tyrants were not AT ALL pleased to find out that the car ride they so joyfully hopped into the car for ended up in the boarding kennel.

 Moooommmmmmmyyyyy
Don't leave us here!!

Togo was upset, but I think Tagar is secretly pleased. I bet she loves going there. The kennel also breeds and trains German Shepherds, and it's always full of hunky muscular 'guys'. Here she is, eyeballing the hunk in the next cell.

We've sent them to this kennel many times before. On this last visit, the caretaker had many complaints about Gamby. Little lopsided Gamby is the naughtiest of the lot! She's the one howling the most, barking the loudest, running about the maddest, and... she bit through the fence surrounding the running compound, stuck her head out of the hole she made and barked her head off at the shepherds looking on from their kennels.

We're ashamed of her behavior, but she's not in the least bothered.

What?

Car Ride

The tyrants LOVE car rides.

They get super excited every time we unlock the car doors, always trying to jump in hoping we'd take them along. These are some shots from a recent trip.

 Let's go go go!

What's the hold up?

Shall I drive? You guys are so slow.

Tagar and the Toy Cars

A napping Tagar makes a perfect wilderness mountain for the two-legged tyrant to play cars on.

The cars crossing Bukit Tagar.

Vroom vroom vroom

Stuck in the dense wilderness!

Rat!

Warning : Very gross pictures below.

Was it just last week I mentioned that the tyrants were not doing anything interesting enough to blog? Tagar took up the challenge and did something so gut-wrenchingly (pun intended!) 'interesting' last night.

Tagar is the calmest and most even-tempered of three tyrants. She is also the deadliest, having killed an assortment of rats, cats, lizards, birds, squirrels and about a gazillion cockroaches. I don't prefer to blog about the poor dead animals that crossed Tagar's path, but yesterday she outdid herself. It's almost a work of (very macabre!) art.

The local council is extremely diligent about issuing summons / clamping / towing away badly parked cars, but are closing two blind eyes over the rat infestation problem. We live close to a commercial area with many restaurants, and its fairly overrun with rats. We see huge rats running about the streets at night. We get the occasional dumb rat venturing into our garden, and we get the occasional cleaning of dumb rat's corpse after it met Tagar.

Last night, Tyrants' Daddy heard the familiar squeee squeee of a caught dying rat. He rushed out and saw ..

blood on the driveway...

intestines on the windscreen... (what!!!)

some innards thing sticking on the car... (WHAT!!!)

and the mangled dead rat.

That's a fairly large rat, as Tyrants' Daddy has a fairly large foot. There was also strings of intestine on garbage chute door, which was a good few meters away. And Tagar was covered with quite a bit of blood.

I still cannot imagine how violently the killing must have been, to be spraying innards all over the place. Tyrants' Daddy had the unpleasant job cleaning up the crime scene and washing up the very bloody Tagar.

Later, Daddy and (a clean) Tagar shared a cider for their efforts.

We've Been Napping

Oh ho. The blog has been silent for some time.
Don't blame me. I'd blog, if the tyrants did anything remotely more interesting than napping all the time.
Humph.

Go away mommy. The camera is disturbing our nap.

Lazy Sundays are best spent reading.

Big Ronald Smiles

The tyrants never want to smile for the camera.
But today, I managed to get pictures of them smiling big grins!

Togo!

Tagar!

Gamby!

Hahaha. Ronald's smile is awesome.

Handy Remote Control Holder

Tagar is a handy husky to have around.
She's a good place to park the remote control!

Howling Huskies Choir

We've blogged before how the tyrants will sometimes howl at the old newspaper lorry.

Lately they've suddenly taken singing fairly long arias, howling their throats out. They seemed to be singing longer and longer than usual.

Today I found out why.

Their 'singing' has so captivated the newspaper lorry uncle, that he's taken to stopping outside our gate and letting the paper lama siren run while he watched the performance!

I caught him at the gate today, and seeing me the uncle gave a toothy grin and a thumbs up to the dogs. Hahaha. I tried to take photos of the tyrants howling, but they stopped singing when they saw me. So I trudged back into the house.

Then the old newspaper uncle reversed his lorry, made the pass the house again and upped his siren. The tyrants resumed their howling joyfully, though I think the old newspaper uncle looked much more joyful than them, hanging out of his lorry watching them sing.

Here's some short videos of them I managed to catch on previous days.

Playing with Water

The furry tyrants like playing with water, except Gamby.

Gamby LOVES playing with water. When it rains heavily she makes a mad dash to outside to play in the few spare seconds before I lock them in (tyrants+rain=onheckofamess), after which she sits longingly at the grille and tries to roll about in bit of rain that splatters in.

After the rain she'll quietly sneak up to the pail outside, and when she thinks no one is looking she has a go at the rainwater collected inside. Usually Togo catches her in time - he growls and scolds her while pulling her away by the ruff of her neck, because if Gamby's all wet everyone gets into trouble. (I'm amazed that Togo is this smart. He stops the girls messing the food and playing with water, but cannot himself stop peeing on the car tyres, which he always gets yelled at for and goes running to hide. Hrmmph)

Today as a rare treat I decided to fill up the big tub for them, and let the tyrants play water to their hearts content. I eagerly let them out back, expecting them to be playing with glee. Gamby will be the first one in, for sure, rolling about.

Half an hour later, I peeped behind to check. There was no sounds of happy dogs playing, and neither is there sounds of water. I saw... three tyrants, their feet barely wet. A harassed Gamby was trying to test the water, but both Togo and Tagar ganged up on her, blocking her from the tub and pulling her away. I can almost see the words on their face "No Gamby! Don't be an ass. We'll all get in trouble. Stay away from the tub!!"

Oh. My. Tyrants.

I had to laugh. The tyrants totally ruined their surprise fun day. So I went out and doused them all with water, to show that its ok to play. They did play a bit after that, but not all out water fun. Mostly they were still trying to stop Gamby splashing about.

And mostly Togo and Tagar just hopped across the water.

Hop.

Hop.

Hop somemore.

Hop.

Hop.

 Fly.

Only Gamby stepped into the tub.

Talk about a failed day of fun.
Tales of the furry, scrunchie-eating, lovable tyrant.
