Play Pen

We got a new playpen to keep the crawlies in place. We got them some mats too so they don't get all wet and smelly from rolling in their pee.

The pen is 3x3(ft) and the floor mats are 2x1 each. So we have a 1x1 square of non-mat floorspace - which the pups seem to prefer much more than the big big pen area.

We think they like the cool marble floor. Sometimes they squeal their tiny heads off (so much so I wish they made puppy pacifiers), and when we let them out they go promptly to sleep on the marble floor.

We let them out a few times a days to exploring around the house. They're getting very steady on their feet already!

Notice the 3 pups jostling for place at the non-mat area.

Here's a close up of the jostling pups

3 weeks

The blobs are 3 weeks old now, and they're beginning to crawl all over the house. Good thing Tagar and Togo keeps a good eye on them. Tagar nudges the pups back if they get out too near the front door.

Here's more pics of the blobs. We wonder how postcards with 9 cute puppies in a row are ever taken - we can't even get all four together long enough for a decent shot!

Ear Spa

These photos were taken a few days after Tagar gave birth to the four blobs. Tagar was at that time still a bit tired and dazed.

Daddy caught Togo give Tagar a nice good ear spa treatment!

Tagar : Mmm.....

Tagar : Mmmmmmmm..... nice.....

Tagar : Oops, Togo! Daddy's watching!

Tagar Mommy

Tagar didn't really take to being a mom. She's surprisingly not very protective of the pups (I expected her to be guarding them fiercely), she only growls at Togo and doesn't bother much when others man-handling her pups.

Tagar also frequently leaves the pups, tailing me around the house instead. She can't seem to gather her pups for a feed either, the first week we had to manually plug in the pups to her to get them fed.

We can't really blame her, poor Tagar's a mommy at such a young age. She does keep her pups clean and runs to them when they cry, and now she's getting better at feeding them.

Oh, but she does get up and run (sometimes with pups attached!) when she hears the sound of plastic ripping. Plastic ripping = treats. Once a pig, always a pig!

Here's more pics of the cute pups.

They're just beginning to walk with the front legs, draging the back ones along. The fattest one is a bit slow, considering he has a huge bum to lift. Haha.

Husky Family

So mean of me, enjoying the pups and not posting any photos!
Here's a family snapshot.

Tagar has stopped trying to bite Togo's head off everytime he tries to investigate her new squealing 'toys'. Now she even lets him lick them clean once in a while.

Tales of the furry, scrunchie-eating, lovable tyrant.
