Twisty Gamby

Only a Gamby can sleep so twisted.

Shedding Season

Huskies shed their fur (or 'blow their coat') twice a year. As we don't get winter here, the tyrants blowing schedule doesn't happen at a fixed time, they usually shed at different times from each other. Mostly to annoy us, I suspect.

This time they're (miraculously) blowing their coat all at the same time. Which leads to fur fur FUR everywhere in and out of the house. Time to brush brush brush!

When their butt starts looking like this, it's shedding time!

Togo loves being brushed and will sit quietly to be brushed. Such a darling. Gamby will let herself be caught and brushed but she doesn't like her weak hind legs to be brushed with force, she will snap at us sometimes.

Tagar... is an idiot. She's a chore to catch and brush, but will come asking if you ignore her. Then bolt off after just one stroke and stand in front of the biscuit cupboard, waiting for treats for being brushed! I always ending losing my temper with Tagar. Such a mule-headed girl.

Today I decided to try bribing them before brushing. The idea is to brush them while they're engrossed in chewing these huge treats.

Takes time to chew - more time to brush!

It worked for Togo and Gamby. When I tried brushing Tagar, she picked up her treat and ran off out of reach!

Stubborn as a mule.

Managed to get a good brushing overall, though. I've already brushed them twice this week, and still they're spewing fur like crazy.

Let's add some perspective to that pile of fur photo. That's a tub, not a pail. Here's Togo beside it. He is our largest tyrant, by the way.

Gamby the Hugger

Gamby has a habit of 'hugging' things when sleeping.
Her one paw is always holding something - the wall, furniture, anything nearby.

Here she is hugging a chair leg and sleeping.

Grassless Goats

Our poor goats.
They have to scrounge for measly bits of grass on our rocky unfruitful terrain.

Psst, tyrants. There's a huge bowl of kibbles inside, if you guys would like to stop being goats.

Gamby the Tail Pest

Gamby is a tail-puller. She has been one since she was a wee little puppy, and has never outgrown the habit.

She would sneak up behind the others and grab their tail in her mouth, and then follow them like a train as they run around trying to shake her off. What a pest!

Gamby Smiling

Tagar looks like a doofus when she smiles.

Gamby looks so brilliant when she smiles.
A face like this can get away with anything (and she often does!).

Girls Wrestling

Gamby loves playing. She is three years old now but still behaves very much like a young puppy.
Every so often Gamby will pounce on Tagar and force her to play wrestling with her.

Did you notice Togo? The lazy bum never plays. He would just sit down and give sissy barks as his 'participation', or do something totally unrelated, like eat our plants.

Treats Galore

We promised the tyrants some treats with their 'earnings', so here they are!

I got over-excited and went a teeny bit overboard at the pet store. But the tyrants are not complaining! Too bad that the mountain of treats is meant to last them some months.

Enough photographs, mommy! Give us the treats already!!

Tyrannts Make Some Money

The tyrants made some moolah!

I cashed out the amount in our advertiser account, Nuffnang. And we just received a cheque for RM124.76 in the mail. Woohoo!

That's not a huge amount for 4 years of blog presence. A dog blog is so much less popular than most, especially the likes of current politics and popular hobbies and blogs with keywords like make money and sex.

But it's better than nothing! I can't say the tyrants are finally earning their keep since the amount won't buy them a month's supply of food, but it can definitely buy them lots and lots of treats!

Thank you, tyrants, for sleeping in a hundred different weird positions and doing all sorts of idiotic stuff, and providing me something fun to blog about.

You're welcome, mommy.
Now, did you say TREATS??

Optical Illusion

Gamby looks like she's emerging from the wall in this photo.
Freaky!

Wordless Wednesdays

Tagar Smiling

We always get comments that Tagar is the scariest looking among the three tyrants. With her eyes and color and that permanent 'I'm going to eat you' stare she does look freakishly scary.

We think there's a reason she doesn't smile often.
Because when Tagar does smile, she look like an absolute doofus!

Color Pencils

The tyrants are all grown up now, and are long past the chew-everything stage of puppy hood. Now they chew selectively instead.

Especially Gamby, she can't seem to resist anything long and wooden. To date she has already chewed through half the wooden parquet floor paneling in our room. Now she has started on something else.

The human tyrant's box of color pencils!

Now and then Gamby steals a pencil and this is what happens.

We totally won't be surprised to find multicolored rainbow poop one day.

Hmmm... Pencils....

Gamby Brown Eyes

Hey! Gamby has nice brown eyes.
We never noticed because she never keeps still.

Also, her tongue is so big and in your face, you hardly get to notice her eyes.

To Get a Decent Photo

The tyrants are an uncooperative lot. To take one decent photo we have to try...

and try again...

and again again...

and yes! A decent shot!

Thank you Tagar for cooperating with us. Hah.

Tongues

Dear tyrants, tongues are gross.
Wet tongues are grosser.

But sure, go ahead and ignore us.
Leave your tongue hanging out everywhere.

Tales of the furry, scrunchie-eating, lovable tyrant.
