Howling Togo

One of the blessings of owning a Husky is that it does not bark much.

Compared to that dog up the street that barks at the newspaper delivery man, the garbage collectors, the postman, the various flyer-mans, the gas man, and random passer-bys, Togo is a dream.

Sure he barks, but very nominally. He barks his baby little baby yaps when he's in his pen, wanting to come out. He yaps a little every morning when he wakes up, at 6.30 am. A few short yaps, then he amuses himself with his toys until whatever time I wake up. Such a darling.

This morning (Sunday! sleep in day! yippie!) Togo woke up as usual at 6.30 am, and barked his little yaps. Then suddenly he howled. Togo Daddy and me sat up, all ears. Did he just howl?

Huskies howl and yowl and growl and seemingly 'talk' to their owners, but so far Togo has not howled yet. A minute later we heard him howl again. Togo can howl!

Togo discovered he can howl, and he discovered he liked howling. So he howled and howled and howled for a whole hour until we gave up on our sleeping-in and woke up to face the day, and him.

Haha. Wonder what the neighbours must be cursing.
